EFFICIENT PACKAGING: Files freeze-dried in milk crates are processed more rapidly than those in cardboard containers. The crates allow a better flow, enabling sublimation to occur more rapidly. PACKING FOR PROCESSING: Milk crates are ideal for storing water damaged materials. In this instance, no wax paper was inserted between volumes, creating adhesion problems as well as additional costs. PREPARING FOR PACKING: Wax or freezer paper should be placed between volumes prior to cold storage or freeze-drying.
